Wedding Collateral & Event Planning
Easily one of my most personal endeavors to date, our wedding presented me with the rare chance to have complete creative control (thanks to my very understanding family and fiancé) and partner with a host of talented vendors to bring my vision to life.
Like most brides, I wanted our wedding to be beautiful, personal, and every bit a celebration.
Unlike most brides, I was 6 months pregnant on our big day. A four-month timeline compounded with a designer’s eye for detail is not exactly ideal, however, I had no doubt that it could be every bit the dream wedding.
Though we were working on an accelerated timeline, as well as a relatively modest budget, I chose to look at these challenges as opportunities to design smart, and opted for a minimalist approach for much of the wedding’s overall look. The venue set the tone for our “casual, yet sophisticated shotgun wedding.”
A one-color invitation suite fit the bill – both stylistically and monetarily. I offset a gorgeous calligraphic typeface with a classic serif, and added my own hand-drawn illustrations. A custom rubber stamp was created for the return address.
